This is a great little application that will look after all of your computers updates. Once you run Filehippo Update Checker, it will scan your computer for freeware and shareware applications and compare it to the filehippo database. It will then let you know if there is any updates for these applications available on-line through a very simple web interface, listing what updates are available. All you have to do is select which updates you would like to install.

I often get annoyed by programs popping up and telling me there is an update available as it happens too often. This application lets you disable the update check for the individual programs and then you can then use Filehippo Update Checker as your one stop shop at a time that is convenient to you. It even recognises beta updates.

It is so quick and easy, you would have no excuse to run it weekly. The only drawback is that the application doesn’t offer you to update all selected programs in one go. You need to click on each application you want to update individually.
