There is not really any applications that are going to turn your Windows Mobile Device into a desktop replacement. This was not the purpose of them, though they are great for allowing you to achieve small tasks. It is always good to have a bundle of useful tools on your device, ready for when you may need to do something you would not do every day.

I came across Stopwatch 1.2 after going to a friends place to play board games. We needed a timer and could not find one which would run for a suitable time. This would have been a perfect situation to pull out my device with Stopwatch 1.2 loaded.

Stopwatch 1.2 is a stopwatch and countdown timer. It is very easy to use, just press the start button for the stopwatch and the clock will increase as you would expect. To us it as a timer, set how long you would like the timer to run for, tick the “Count Down” box and press start.

There are two display settings, the blue one in the screenshot and a green digital option. You can even change the alarm which plays when the timer has reached zero.
