Hi Paul, is there anything stopping you from using a normal microphone and PC speakers instead of the headset? I may have missed the point.
I have played with this type of thing before. I came up with the solution of adding a voice/fax modem into the mix. Using the audio ports of the modem, I was able to send the output of the modem into the line in of the computer, and an audio output of the computer into the microphone input of the modem.

In my work environment I must constantly be on-line for Corporate Web Casts (WEBEX. Which requires me to logging to the internet wecast and than use my phone to call in to a conference call. I currently use Windows XP and Oultook 2003 and have my computer connected to my phone dataport. I do this so I can dial my contaects from the pc, thus eliminating dialing errors and is fast. I have a stereo headset with microphone and have it plugged into my pc. I there a way that I can use this setup on my computer and use it as a speaker phone? This would allow me to continue working hands free. Additional e-mail, paul.blum@ge.com
