I work for a diary manufacturer and was researching people's opinions on paper diaries so found the comments very interesting. We have a range of diaries that are refillable so you don't need to rewrite the address book sections each year, just replace the diary section. There are those who do still love to write and we make sure we have excellent quality covers and good quality paper. Although based in the UK we ship our diaries all over the world ! www.giltedged.co.uk/shop.

Thank you for writing this article. I write and sell journal software, I came across this doing some market research. There are a lot of good points made, I hope to make computers a much more viable option for those wanting to make the transition. In case you want to try out my solution, go to http://www.xtremejournalsystem.com. I'm always looking forward to feedback. Thanks!

You have failed to make mention of one of the most beneficial aspects of computer based diaries - it is able to be searched, instantly.

Though, I flick between computer and paper versions of diary and todo lists, my address book has always been electronic.

Keep up the good work!
