Windows Mobile: Syntrax

SyntraxWhile I can’t see many bands rocking up to their show with a Windows Mobile Pocket PC instead of a drummer, Syntrax will let you do just that.

Some pocket PC programs are really useful, then with others you have to wonder why. This utility does a whole lot when it comes to being a sequencer, with lots of options and knobs to turn. It’s just a bit tricky to use on a two inch screen.

The thing I love about this tool, is that it shows what your Pocket PC is capable of. We carry around the computing equivalent of a 1998 desktop PC in our pocket (if such a comparison can be done). This application pushes our phones to the limits and does it well. I wish there were many more applications that would utilise the power of our phones this well.

There are also Symbian and desktop versions available, all for free from finished.nl.
